Effectively, yes. Users of the platform cannot see any individual's survey answers under any circumstances.
Technically, no. Relevant data is highly encrypted however in order to connect an individual to a future project they work on and use their survey answers in connection with that project a form of identification is linked to the survey answers. Without this the platform would need to ask individuals to complete the survey again, every time. You can participate using a pseudonym if you wish.
Notwithstanding, your privacy is still protected through strict data access controls.
Strict data access controls
In order to protect the privacy and security of personal information we use the following technical access controls and internal policies to prohibit employees and contractors from arbitrarily accessing personal information:
- Employees and contractors do not have standing access to live data.
- In unique circumstances where it is considered essential to the platform’s security or maintenance or compliance with an obligation under the Privacy Act or other law, access may be granted to a relevant individual(s) for that specific purpose and to relevant data only.
- A record of access request, justification and approval are recorded by management and access is granted by only the appropriate individuals.
- Survey answers are encrypted at field level, meaning even if they are accessed in our database they cannot be read. The encryption keys for these are held in trust.
